Born in Senegal and now residing in Austin, Texas, Magatte Wade is director of the Middle for African Prosperity on the Atlas Community, a nonprofit that helps assume tanks and activist teams within the creating world. A serial entrepreneur, she’s at present the CEO (and founder) of SkinIsSkin, which sells a sequence of pores and skin and lip merchandise sourced in Africa.
Wade can also be the writer of the brand new memoir and manifesto, The Coronary heart of a Cheetah: How We Have Been Lied To about African Poverty—and What That Means for Human Flourishing. The answer to Africa’s issues lie with what her mentor, the late economist George Ayittey, referred to as “the cheetah technology,” younger Africans who embrace free markets, individualism, human rights, and transparency in authorities.
